Today I've spent a couple of hours trying to make a 3d environment that looks under water. It needs a lot more added to yet, think I'll make some rocks and some more plants, maybe add an emitter to emit bubbles. I was struggling with making the coral look like it fits properly in the sand, I tried using a deformer on the sand which gave my a bit of variation  with the level of the terrain. But I only just now remembered that all of my lights' shadows still have the default settings, I'll just try changing my lights to area shadow.
